Kamikochi Snowshoe 1DAY

Kamikochi Snowshoe 1DAY
Kamikochi is famous as a gateway to the Northern Alps and a popular summer retreat. In winter, when motor vehicles are prohibited, it transforms into a realm accessible only to those who travel on foot, offering views of snow-covered peaks. On a clear day, the scenery is breathtaking—but when the weather turns, you will experience the full severity of midwinter.
[Tour Highlights]
Beginner-Friendly: Perfect for first-time snowshoers! When the snow accumulation is low, we use chain spikes instead of snowshoes.
Serene Winter Escape: Fully immerse yourself in the quiet magic of midwinter Kamikochi.
Photographer’s Paradise: Highly recommended for nature photography lovers!
While summer buses zip straight to the bus terminal, winter access to Kamikochi is strictly on foot starting from Kama Tunnel. Reaching Taisho Pond alone takes about an hour. The snow-dusted, brilliant white peaks of the Northern Alps are a rewarding reward for your efforts.
Will you be greeted by Mt. Hotaka reflected on the frozen lake surface and trees adorned with frost, or a fierce midwinter blizzard? That depends on your luck with the weather...
Guests joining from overseas, please check the access information and required equipment on the page below before making a reservation.
